Dr. Steve Mendelson has a wide array of orthopedic expertise and practices general orthopedics in both our Warren and Livonia locations. He offers an alternative to the traditional hip replacement, called an Anterior Hip Replacement.

He has a special interest in helping “GAP” patients with their knee pain using peripheral nerve stimulators.

He also serves as the Medical Director of the St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital Hip and Knee Unit.

Dr. Mendelson has been voted by southeast Michigan’s medical professionals as Hour Detroit Magazine’s Top Docs in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

I am 2 weeks post-op shoulder procedure with Dr. Mendelson. I have full range of motion back (had it right after surgery), and have returned to all activities without pain. Before seeing Dr. Mendelson, I had been struggling with significant pain and limited use of my shoulder for 6 months after an injury, and a different orthopedic surgeon wanted to give it more time. Dr. Mendelson truly listened to the level of pain I was fighting through daily, explained my condition and options thoroughly, and fit me in before the holiday for this life-changing procedure.
