Our Story

Synergy Health Partners by Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedics was originally founded as a general orthopedic practice in 1963 by Dr. Herbert Mendelson. Based in Livonia, Michigan, the practice eventually expanded east to St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Over time, the business has grown, adding additional partners, physicians, and extended service offerings, including spine and pain management. By 2003, Herbert Mendelson’s three sons (David, Jeffrey, and Stephen) had joined the practice, and along with Dr. Martin Kornblum, they currently own and manage the orthopedic practice.

Today, Synergy Health Partners | Mendelson Kornblum employs over 20 physicians, offering a full range of premium orthopedic and ancillary services in multiple locations, including our 40,000-square-foot facility in Livonia, half of which is subleased to St. Mary Mercy Hospital.
